Our 16 days adventure safari will take us to the northwestern part of the country. On this adventure safari, we will look out for the BIG 5. We will proceed to western animal corrido. During the 16 day we will have a feel of the true African safari life, breath taking scenery of the savanna plains and the African jungles.

Northern Western Uganda
Arrival at Entebbe Airport. Irrespective of the time of arrival, a next trip safari guide will be waiting for you at the airport. He or she will pick you up and proceed to your accommodation. Depending on your time of arrival you can decided to relax at the hotel or check out Entebbe’s attractions.
After a very early morning breakfast, we take on the beautiful savanna grassland for game drive. On this game drive, we expect to see animals like giraffes, buffalos, different species of antelopes, elephants, warthogs, hyenas and if luck is on our side lions and leopards. After the exiting breath taking views, we return to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch, we go for the launch trip on the Nile to the Murchison falls foot.
After morning breakfast, our discover Uganda safari will take us the northeastern part of Uganda. On our way to Murchison falls park we will make as stopover in Nakasongora to start our search for the BIG FIVE. At ziwa rhino sanctuary, you will track on foot for the only remaining white rhino up-to-date. We will have lunch from here then proceed to Murchison falls national park.
You will depart Murchison falls national park via the rift valley escarpment road offering spectacular views over Lake Albert to DR Congo and West Nile, passing via the towns of Biso, Hoima, Kenjojo, and onto Fort Portal to your overnight accommodation venue within Kibale Forest National Park.
En-route to the lodge, we will shake off the long drive with a walk to the “top of the world” along crater lakes area famous for crater lakes view and view of the mountain of the moon.
Chimpanzee tracking day starts as early as 6:30 after a briefing at Kanyancha trailhead. The trekking may take between 2 to 6 hours depending on the movements of the chimpanzees. Once you locate them, you will spend 1 hour with them in their natural habitat.
While tracking, you will be able to spot different animal species like the Red Colobus, Black and white Colobus, Grey-cheeked Mangabey, Olive Baboon, Red-tailed Monkey, and L’Hoest’s Monkey among others and different bird species.
It is also possible to make a night walk through the forest to see the animals of the night, like bush babies (optional).
The day begins early as we head for the Uganda Kobs mating grounds in hopes of catching sight of the predators swarming the unsuspecting antelopes. We search for lions, elephants, buffaloes, and other wild animals in their natural habitat, before returning to the lodge for lunch.
In the early afternoon, your discover Uganda safari driver transfer you for a boat launch safari along the Kazinga channel. The channel is 40m wide and offers beautiful scenery of hundreds of hippos along the banks and different bird species seen when cruising west towards Lake Edward.
After early morning breakfast, transfer to Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary for a nature walk; rich in biodiversity and beautiful scenery, the wetland is a birder’s paradise with about 138 species. Located outside the park in Magombe Swamp, it hosts eight primates species, including the black-and-white colobus, grey-cheeked mangabey, red-tailed, L’’Hoest’s and blue monkeys, and olive baboons. Bushbucks and mongooses can also be found here. The sanctuary was set up to preserve the exclusive environmental features and the wetland and is managed by the local community.
Later depart Kibale Forest to Queen Elizabeth National Park, lying 1978 sq. km west of Uganda
Transfer you to Mweya for an afternoon boat launch safari along the Kazinga channel. The channel is 40 wide and offers beautiful scenery of hundreds of hippos along the banks and different bird species seen when cruising west towards Lake Edward.
Driving through a grassland area, a sudden halt will reveal an amazing gorge of one hundred meters deep, covered with tropical rainforest. Hike into the gorge of the Kyambura River in search of the wild chimpanzees. It is a beautiful walk through the river valley, home to many birds and butterfly species.
After lunch, proceed to the Ishasha sector, very famous for the tree-climbing lions. The Ishasha sector is the only other place in the entire world where you will find tree-climbing lions apart from Lake Manyara National Park in Tanzania. Later retire to the Lodge

Our discover Uganda safari takes a complete twist from the open savanna grasslands to thick impenetrable rain forest. From the Ishaha sector of Queen Elizabeth National park we head to southwest part of Uganda to Bwindi impenetrable park. What used to stand out as sea of thick forest cover now it looks like an isolated island in the middle of cultivated land due to human activity.
After the long journey you will check in the hotel and get ready for the highlight of our discover Uganda safari.
The highlight of your Explore Uganda Safari Adventure starts when you wake early (06:00), have your breakfast, and be at the trailhead in time for the gorilla tracking briefing. Once there, you will first receive a briefing and at 8.00 am and then start the tracking.
Once you have found the gorillas, you will be able to spend an hour watching and learning from them. Your time in the forest cannot be pre-determined, though, because every day is different from the previous based on weather patterns, gorilla movements, and other factors considered.
After breakfast, transfer to Lake Mutanda, one of the most beautiful places in Uganda.
On a clear day, you can see the 3 volcanoes in the distance. Relax at the lodge or do one of the following activities (one activity included): boat trip on the lake, walk along the lake or to the local people, go for a swim, or visit the pygmies.
Activities in Mgahinga National Park: make a nature walk, go for a birding or primate walk, visit the golden monkeys or climb one of the volcanoes. Later transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for overnight on Uganda’s beautiful lake.
Mgahinga National Park is part of the Virunga Volcanoes and borders Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park. Apart from Mountain Gorillas, the stars of Mgahinga are the golden monkeys, a subspecies of the Blue Monkey.
Enjoy morning breeze on the showers of Lake Bunyonyi, after breakfast go for a boat ride and after lunch go for zip lining on the lake.
After breakfast, we drive to Lake Mburo National Park. Game drive or a boat trip on the lake in the afternoon. In the evening, we make a night game drive.
Lake Mburo is one of the 2 national parks with zebras and the only national park with impalas in Uganda. There are no elephants and lions, so walking safaris are possible.
Game drive or (another) optional boat trip on the lake in the afternoon. It is also possible to go for a game walk or go for a mountain biking tour with a guide. Transfer to the airport for your departure.
